Financial knowledge,
grown for everyone.
InvestmenTree turns learning about money, markets and the economy into something you can watch grow. Every lesson you complete adds branches and leaves to your own 3D tree, until the full course becomes a mighty one.
Our goals
How it works
1. Pick a group (stocks, treasuries, futures, options and more). 2. Read the lesson and learn the key terms. 3. Pass the quiz and watch your tree grow. 4. Ask FinanceAI when you want to go deeper.

Why InvestmenTree exists
Most people learn about money by accident, usually after an expensive mistake. Financial literacy is one of the biggest hidden inequalities: those who understand compounding, risk and inflation build wealth, while those who don't pay for it for decades. Our mission is to close that gap, so that a student anywhere can learn what a professional investor knows.
The tree is our symbol. Roots are fundamentals, growth is patience, and compounding is its quiet superpower. You can't rush a tree, but you can water it a little every day.
Who we are
InvestmenTree was created by a group of people who are enthusiastic about finance and economics and believe everyone should be able to understand how money works. The core of the course is free, and Premium unlocks the advanced lessons and in-depth FinanceAI answers.

Portfolio checklist
Categories that behave differently may reduce reliance on one source of return, but diversification cannot eliminate all losses.
Money needed soon generally has different liquidity and volatility needs from long-term goals.
Fees, spreads, taxes and frequent trading can reduce results. The sandbox does not model all of these.
A plan should be assessed against its purpose and risk limits—not just the latest winner.
Risk is not a number.
It’s a set of questions.
Use this educational checklist to spot concentration and planning gaps. It does not forecast returns, recommend securities, or certify that a portfolio is safe.

Most return per year.
For the risk you accept.
Choose how much yearly ups and downs you can live with. The finder tests thousands of mixes and shows the one with the highest expected yearly return inside that limit. Inputs are editable long-run estimates, not forecasts or advice.

Update with live market data (optional)
Uses a free Twelve Data key to download 5 years of monthly prices for SPY, IEF, LQD, GLD, VNQ, SHV and BTC/USD, then re-estimates volatility and correlations. The key stays in this tab only.
